Meet Brittany (She/Her); BA, Certificate in Indigenous Counselling, MEd (c)
Kwe’ (Hello), my name is Brittany, my spirit name is Gaqtugaweq (Thunder Woman), I am an Mi’kmaq/Acadian woman, and I am from Oinpegitjoig (Pabineau First Nation). I grew up out of community and disconnected from culture until I found opportunities to learn and connect within the lands of Wolastoqey (Fredericton). I’ve grown very passionate about Indigenous identity issues, access to culture, and finding a connection to self.
I spent 7 years working towards a Bachelor of Arts (Completed in 2021) at St. Thomas University, a Certificate in Indigenous Counselling (Completed in 2023), and I have almost completed a Master of Education in Counselling (Expected in 2025) both at the University of New Brunswick.
Although my education and experiences have lead me to a focus on Indigenous related topics, my intentions for any person who seeks counselling therapy is to create a safe space to meet people where they’re at, and to help maintain a space where people can explore themselves and their personal growth.
This type of service can be used for many different topics and situations, please reach out if you are simply curious about what this type of space can do for you. Also keep in mind that if you don’t feel connected to me as a counsellor that is okay, and it would be much better for you to find someone you do connect with to do this work!
I will be taking appointments in person at the Pabineau Health Centre, as well as online appointments. I will be completing a 8 month practicum from September 2024 - May 2025 under the supervision of a clinical supervisor from Bridge to Wellness.

Hi everyone, my name is Lynsey. I’m the owner of Bridge to Wellness, a counselling and consulting practice that I opened in the spring of 2020 after completing my Master of Social Work degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
I grew up in rural New Brunswick, on the banks of the beautiful Miramichi River in McNamee. After I completed my B.A. in 2007 then my B.S.W. in 2009 at St.Thomas University, I returned home to work as the social worker and community developer at the local community health centre and have continued to work in primary health care for fourteen years.
Dealing with the tough stuff is difficult and often seems impossible. You don’t need to struggle on your own. I’ll be here to walk alongside you while you take this journey.

Greetings, I’m Cassandra Tarfa, and my journey in the realm of social work began when I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from St. Thomas University in 2016. I’m completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Waterloo, where I am also dedicating my time to practicum hours with Bridge to Wellness Counselling.
Throughout my professional path, I’ve honed my skills and compassion by supporting adults within community non-profit and government organizations. My recent endeavours have immersed me in community addiction and mental health services. In this area, I have offered individual and group counselling through in-person, telephone, and video-based sessions. The blend of these experiences has shaped my understanding and commitment to aiding others on their unique paths to wellness.
I find immense pleasure in yoga practice and the adventures of hiking through nature and chasing waterfalls, often in the delightful company of cherished friends and family. I firmly believe that immersing oneself in these rejuvenating pursuits grants a sense of joy and ignites the inner fire that propels us forward. These activities fill me with the energy required to confront the more demanding parts of life, empowering me to conquer the challenges that lie ahead.
